Canape Restaurant

Canape Restaurant was founded in 1948 by Wilhelm Kalberlach, in the German city of Wilhelmshaven. In 1960, after Wilhelm's death, his son Hermann took over the business. Hermann was a professional brewer, so he was able to improve the quality of the beer served at his father's restaurant. Due to all improvements, Hermann started selling 700 thousand liters of chopp per year. Throughout the following years, he opened other 6 'Canape' (Kneipe) restaurants, one of them being in Brazil.

The restaurant has live music on the weekends and holidays.
